Mike Montgomery focuses his practice in the following litigation areas:

In his more than 15 years of practice, Mike has served as lead counsel in numerous matters that typically involve the representation of business and commercial interests, as well as the defense of product manufacturers, general contractors, subcontractors and design professionals. Many of his cases have involved claims of wrongful death, brain injury, and other catastrophic personal injury.
Mike received his law degree from the University of Richmond cum laude. He did his undergraduate work at the University of Virginia. Mike has had the honor of being recognized each of the past five years as a Best Lawyer in Transportation law by Best Lawyers in America. He has also been recognized by Virginia Business Magazine as one of Virginia's Legal Elite in the areas of Construction and Transportation Law.
Mike is admitted to practice before the U. S. District Court for both the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He is on the Board of Directors of the Richmond Bar Association. He is the Virginia State Chair for the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys. Mike is also a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Lewis F. Powell, Jr. American Inn of Court.
