RAYMOND J. SINNOTT, III
Ray founded the law firm of Sinnott & Nuckols in 1986, three years later Kevin Logan joined the firm and it became Sinnott Nuckols & Logan. Ray is currently the firm’s senior and managing partner. His practice is concentrated in litigation of personal injury, products liability, construction litigation, and insurance coverage issues. He has tried cases in both state and federal courts throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Ray recently reached a milestone and is now in his 30th year as a defense attorney. He is a frequent speaker at seminars on insurance law, evidence, defending personal injury claims and related matters in civil litigation. He is also a certified mediator and an arbitrator for Mediation & Arbitration Services of VA, LLC. Ray is a former Adjunct Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University in the areas of Business and Insurance Law. He is AV rated by his peers in Martindale-Hubbell and was recently selected as a Virginia Super Lawyer in civil litigation.
Ray was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 1979. He is an active member in a number of defense insurance organizations including the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys, the Defense Research Institute, and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. He is also a member of the Richmond Claims Association.
Ray received his law degree in 1979 from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. His undergraduate degree was completed at James Madison University in 1975. He has been married to Pam for over 33 years and lives in Midlothian, Virginia.
